Free Formula Samples In The Mail Of Different Brands.. Can I Use All Of Them?
I received free formula samples in the mail. Some friends also gave me some of theirs that they didn’t need to use when their child was off of it.
I have 3 huge cans of powder formula Enfamil A+, I have 12 cans of prepared just add water Heinz formula, and now I have 3 cans of powdered nestle good start.
She is currently on Nestle good start. After I run out of this one, can I use the Enfamil A+ for a couple of weeks, and then use the 12 cans of Heinz for a couple weeks??
Breastfeeding and Formula feeding half and half!

if you want free stuff, I really really like http://www.sampleaday.com for it. They sort through and find the legit samples so you don’t have to. They are great because they are updated daily and all of their offers are “catch free”, that means no long surveys, no pay offers. They also have a e-mailing list where they send you the free samples listed on their site. I use that so I get them in my email which comes daily. It isn’t required though to get the freebies. Sometimes their descriptions are pretty funny too! If you are looking for a specific type of free sample, there is a categories list and a search bar right above categories so that you can do searches.

WHAT I GOT:
Today I just got a Kashi Bar…. But I get all sorts of random stuff every day, my mailman thinks im nutz! lol
Best to stick with one brand. I have had parents switch around formulas and it often causes problems. Enfamil is quit a popular brand and many parents seem to favor it. If you want to switch from Nestle to another thats fine but try not to switch after that. Personally if I started with one brand I would not switch unless that brand was causing a problem
I used all of mine…My daughters doctor said to me that as long as she doesn’t develop any special needs for formula then switching between the brands doesnt matter…..I used it to suppliment with breast milk but then had to do all formula and the doctor said it was all ok!
SAVE yourself some money1 use it as long as she doesn’t need any special kind as told by your doctor!
I would say since you are nursing and formula it probably will be fine to switch brands.
That’s a tough call, because you don’t want your baby to get an allergy. I think that as long as the main ingredient is the same in each of the different formulas, you will probably be okay…but if you wait until the baby is a little bit older, like maybe 6 months, there may be less chance in your baby developing an allergy. Really good question.
Although – you may want to do this now because when your baby is 6 months you will start feeding him/her solid food “mush”. You don’t want to introduce more than one food item/week because then you won’t know what is causing any allergies your kid might have. So…I would say that if the MAIN ingredient is the same in all the formulas, go for it.
probably not a good idea…a baby’s digestive system is immature and suddenly changing formulas can really disrupt it even though you are breastfeeding too…it may lead to vomiting and or diarrhea and then this can lead to dehydration and all of this can happen really fast in a baby because they are so small…so the best thing to do is find a good formula and if they are tolerating it well stick with it…if you find for some reason that you HAVE to switch formulas do it gradually like mixing half new half old for a few days before totally changing over…once your baby is a little older she may tolerate the the formula changes better but always talk to your pediatrician first
