Handy Wipes For Toddler With Eczema?
I’ve always carried around handy wipes (you know, those pre-moistened wipes for face and hand use) for my 2.5 YO daughter when we are out and about to clean her up in a pinch. If I don’t have any on-hand I’ll use a diaper wipe instead. But now I have a 13 month old son with eczema and I’m afraid using a handy wipe might irritate his skin and give him a rash. Does anyone know of any very gentle fragrance-free wipes for that purpose (hands and face) or have any other suggestions? Thanks!

yes…
My 15 month old son and I have very sensitive skin- espeically to climate changes.
I feel the best thing for a baby with sensitive skin is a soft hand towel and water. That way additional chemicals aren’t irritating their skin (the largest organ of our body).
We use a lot of natural/organic baby products- like BurtBees and J/A/S/O/N. http://www.jason-natural.com/products/ea…http://www.burtsbees.com
There is also a recipe for homemade baby wipes:
1/2 roll of paper towels (cut in half to make short rolls)
1/8-1/4 c. baby shampoo (use the best you can afford)
1/8-1/4 c. baby oil
2 cups lukewarm water
1 plastic container that the rolls fit in
Cut roll in half and remove center cardboard. In Baby Wipe Container, mix liquid ingred. and place half of roll in container. Place on lid and tip upside down. To use, pull out from center.
I LOVE the appricot baby oil by Burt Bees. After you are done bathing your little one, while his skin is still wet rub him down with it (careful though- he’ll be slippery!). Also, limit the amount of baths that he gets. You only need to give him a bath once a week. As a rule of them, especially in the winter, every time you change him, give him a baby oil rub down.
Our son hasn’t had a break out since he was 2 months old.
Good Luck!
not really.. you could just by the baby wipes with no alcohol and fragrence free ones… my son has exzema too and so i do wipe his face with baby wipes.. and he doesn’t break out b/c of them.. but also I buy the baby exzema by gentle naturals, and its a cream that you can put on his face after you wipe if you are concerned. But my son doesn’t break out from the regular wipes… and trust me i use them alot.. but the cream works wonders and i love it.. you can buy it on drugstore.com their prices are reasonable compared to the stores.. b/c some walmarts don’t carry it and i think target does but not sure… goodluck
