It's nice to see sensible responses mostly, and that people are open to a slightly different way. But each to his own and if you think you could do it then go for it, although no baby can control himself until at least 2 anyway so why cause all that stress for yourself? We never stressed over him using his diaper, but we gave him lots of opportunity to potty. We started off just by taking off his diaper over the toilet, when he naturally went anyway.
