Has Anyone’s Baby Had Loose Stools And Switching To A Lactose Free Formula Helped?

He’s not sick. Doctor said to try a lactose free formula. He’s been on GoodStart since 7 months, he’s almost 10 months now. He was breastfed up to 7 months.

My 3 month old was like that for a week and a half. She was on Similac Advance and was cranky and very gassy. The Dr. said it was from formula intolerance and switched her to Isomil Advance which is soy based and she has been so much better. Her stools are better and she is back to being my happy baby. Check with your Dr. to make sure its not something more serious before you switch though.
There are a few different types of formula in that brand my 10 month old has been on GoodStart since he was about 2 months old… at that age they are starting to eat “big people food” so that may be something that is affecting him as well… if he is not eating “big people food” you might want to start feeding him some… try some mashed potates, starches are good for loose stools… and sometimes babys just need to get the “bad” chemicals(sp) out of their body and this is how it happens.
