How Long Would You Babysit Your Nephew Baby For Free?

Our nephew asked my mother to give them a hand. He’s working, and his wife is still in college. She agreed to babysit their baby ( then 5 months old) for a short while, 3 times a week.
It’s been a 6 months now, from 8 AM to about 8-9 PM. What should we do, because it’s getting ridiculous, 6 months isn’t a little while, especially when it’s for free.

Wow that is crazy. I have learned one thing, from working with children and having lots of babies in my family. People will take advantage of childcare, ESPECIALLY free childcare.
i’d babysit him for free as often as i could. i love my nephews. spending them with them is really important.
money is just a plus
in your case, i think you could ask for a little money. since you spend that much time with the baby. it’s only fair. it could help.
or you can suck it up and deal with it.
if you feel like that, maybe talk about it, and approach your nephew together.
yeah, that right there is not cool. it might be family, but 12 hours a day for 6 months without pay-
sit them down and have a frank talk with ‘em. they need to know your feelings on this, hat it’s not going to be able to keep happening. it sounds like they are taking advantage of you, but don’t be rude/hostile. tell them that you arn’t going to be able to do it any longer- a short while is not 12 hours.
not even an hour.one time i babysat for my 7 month nephew.his dad said hed be gone for 2 hours and give me $10 when he got back.I WAS THERE FOR 8 HOURS STRAIGHT AND ALL I GOT WAS $2.
I won`t do it for free cos all my nephews are little brats . I want payment for my services lol .
