I Had A Real Bad Experience At Walmart And Im Really Mad What Can I Do They Are “calling Me Back”?
Ok here is the story i JUST had a baby so i went to walmart i had a ten dollar coupon for pampers from the pampers company so i bought a big box of pampers the sign said 15.98 i said cool and went to the register…they rang up 20 bucks so i said no the sign says 15 whatever they said no and i said where they wouldnt go check whatever fine finally they checked and told me fine i can have them for 15.98 which is technically what they were supposed to do mind you this is 15 min after they rang my stuff up. So i hand the manager my coupon she says you cant use this we just hooked you guys up with the 15 whatever price i said are you kidding you have to give it for the price thats advertised the manager just kept giving me dirty looks i said this isnt right i cant use my coupons because you guys messed up on the price somethings not right so my boyfriend stayed there and i went to the car and got my brother to go in there because i just had a baby im tired and upset because they are all over the place with me so then the manager just stands there and tells my brother and boyfriend there is nothing they can do there is a sign on the door that if an item rings up wrong you get it free FINE so gimme the diapers for free- NO they told my brother thats only for food THATS A LIE BECAUSE THINGS HAVE SCANNED WRONG BEFORE AND THEY GAVE THEM TO ME FOR FREE so my brother leaves-i call corporate they told me sorry and that a manager(big time corporate manager) will be calling me whats the manager gonna do? Im so upset we were in there at that one register almost an hour and left with NOTHING and by then the baby needed feeding again and i had to go home and go back out to get diapers somewhere else i am so upset something has to be done that’s false advertisement for one the sign on the door 2 the price was wrong and they faught with me about ringing it up the price thats there I DON’T GET it im talking to them i just want to know if anyone knows what i can do or say to make sure somethings done because im real upset

I used to work for Walmart. They should have done what you wanted. You went up to the register, in good faith, thinking that the diapers were the price stated. When corporate calls you, STAY CALM and reasonable. Tell them about your coupon, how the price was wrong, and how the manager wouldn’t honor the coupon. Tell them how much this inconvenienced you and how you hate confrontations but that you are a new mother who is trying to save pennies. Make sure you update us on how this goes!
Honestly, that $10 coupon wasn’t coming out of walmarts pocket anyway. It comes out of pampers pocket. That’s why they keep the coupon and turn it into pampers.
My husband was a walmart manager too and he would’ve gotten in BIG trouble for doing this to a customer. Plus he would’ve known you were in the right anyway and given it to you and then went back and corrected the pricing.
OH! And if you want proof, act quickly and have someone besides that manager, look at the surveillance tapes!!!!
Just save the coupon and use it next time, it’s not worth all this stress for $10.00…
You should have bought some commas and periods while you were at the store, too.
It’s ok, i think they will be trying to make it up to you for what their manager did. With luck, they will sack the guy

Since you have a computer, look up your state’s laws on consumer’s fraud, incorrect pricing and coupons. In my state, the law is that if the price is marked wrong they have to sell one item at that price and change the sign immediately. If your coupon is within the stated date period, they have to accept it if they accept coupons. Not all stores accept coupons and they don’t have to. Just tell them that you are reporting them to the State’s Attorney and get names, dates and times. Then do so.
Seems they should have just let you have the diapers at the sale price and use the coupon, but hey, no idea what they have to deal with from their bosses. Post partum hormones can be a nightmare! hang in there!
Yeah that does suck shame on walmart. I’d just go back to walmart tomorrow and see if the diapers are still $15.98 if so i’d try using the coupon again and see what happens. If, your still pissed at walmart i’d just use it some place else. I agree with you that was really rude how walmart treated you.
