Moms Of Multiples: Was It Hard To Find A Formula That Your Babies Could Tolerate?
I was just wondering if it was hard to find a formula that your babies could tolerate? I’m looking at an organic, lactose-free, milk based formula. But I’m also looking at Nutramigen, and Alimentum for their potential, because me and my husband are allergic to different parts of milk. Im allergic to the protein, he’s allergic to the lactose.
So my question is: Was it hard to find a formula that your babies could tolerate? Please no rude answers. Thanks.

When my twins were babies they were on regular similac after I stopped breastfeeding. My other son is on Alimentum because he is allergic to protein as well.
I would try something else before trying the Alimentum because they may be able to tolerate it and you would be saving a ton of money… Alimentum is $27 a can vs. $16 a can for most every other brand, and with twins you will go through a lot.
not to be rude, but what does being a parent of multiples have to do with the formula choices??
Don’t automatically use lactose free formula if you don’t know if you child (ren) can tolerate it.
Alimentum and Nutramigen have lactose and milk protein in it, it is just broken down very small to make it much easier to digest.
Just because you and your husband have allergies, your child(ren) may not.
I have twin girls who are 10months old and I have not given them formula. I have been breast feeding them since day one.
To answer your question I haven’t used formula but my girls tolerate pretty much everything I eat. I notice there are a couple things that make them get upset tummies but not many things.
