I'm speaking to you as an experienced mother....it bears repeating-something is wrong at that daycare and it's scaring him...don't let him suffer....act now! He's shaking at times, probably just scared of being away from you since its only 2 days/week and is not being given enough time to adjust to the people around him there, and he's holding off going to the bathroom, because he is obviously scared. Please dont take this the wrong way, but with these two signs from your son ONLY at daycare- dont you think you should look into the daycare or talk to some of the other parents and see if anyone has ever had a problem there? I think the child has to feel comfortable with the teacher. If they dont it seems like they wont go. I had this same problem with my child too. I took him two days out of the week. But I had to actually tell the teachers to take him every hour. That is what they are suppose to do. Some kids at daycare will tell the teacher they dont have to go since they are playing and involved, but the teacher should make them try. At least go in there and try and explain to them the toys will be there when they get back or hold them. Sometimes I have noticed that to be the problem too.
