Organic Baby Formula?

I am thinking about switching my daughter to organic baby formula. What is the difference? Is there a difference in the milk they use or what? I’d like to know if the regular baby formula has hormones in the milk and if the organic stuff is hormone/preservative free, etc. Any advice will help. Thanks!

Read the label – that’s the only thing that can tell you specifically what the difference is.
Well, since you’re using formula I’d go with the organic if it was available. We use organic milk in our house specifically because we want to avoid the hormones and antibiotics that they feed cows. You just want to do your homework and make sure that they really do use all organic materials to make the formula.
Babies have been doing fine on regular formula and soy for years. By introducing organic it is just another way to jack uo the prices. Kids need to be able to get used to certain things in their foods to help them fight off disease, colds, etc. Every person I know that eats all organic foods are sicker than people that eat regular food.
I try to only give my baby organic fruits, veggies and meats but that’s me and alot of people don’t believe in organic. They think it’s a gimmick to just jack up the prices.
There was recently an article in the paper about girls having their periods at the age of 8 and develop boobs alot sooner and boys tend to have facial hair alot sooner as well. They were saying that it’s stress related and being overweight but I think it’s all about the hormones that they feed the cows and all the pesticides that they spray on the fruits and veggies. If you can afford to go the organic route I would strongly recommend it.
In my opinion, breast milk is the best thing for babies since it’s all natural (not some man made chemical) but Justme your body won’t reproduce breast milk if you already stopped breast feeeding. So that’s probably not an option. So if it were me I would switch to organic.
The best organic baby formula you can use is breast milk. I think they have gone too far with all this organic crap. Organic doesn’t = best choice.
Well, all formula is processed something – cows milk, soybeans, etc… Even if the levels of BHT, antibiotics, and residual pesticides are at very discreet levels in regular formula they should be at very low levels in organic formula. The truth is that no one knows if one is better then the other, however infants and children are much more sensitive to fat soluble contaminants as they are growing so rapidly and have a lot of fat themselves.
And truthfully human milk has hormones in it as well (can’t be helped, its a bodily fluid), and we excrete such lovelies as fire retardants as well. Which means implies we are bombarded by chemicals that are not good for us anyway and can not help but dose our infants as well. So, perhaps trying to limit the fat soluble chemicals would be a good thing.
If I had chosen to go with formula I would have gone with organic myself.
