Pampers Vs. Huggies Vs. Fisher Price Diapers?
which is better honestly? also, state whether or not you used them with a boy or a girl and if gender would make a difference. or any other underlying factors that would make a difference(ie. the size/weight: a chubbier baby..i was a fat baby with big thighs so a lot of diapers my mom said didnt fit my legs very well. my baby isnt born yet im 20 weeks so im not sure how my baby will turn out)
if you know of a better reasonably priced brand(preferably ones that are available in bulk like pampers or huggies packs of like 250) then feel free to suggest it, im open to all brands of disposables.
thanks, Kelly

Huggies
-baby boy
-very active
-kept loose poopy in diaper
-didn’t bead up over night
-good straps
-found pampers to always feel wet on the inside and out even though he wasn’t
-my son is slender but when he was younger less than 6 months I still used huggies
I have heard that kirkland (costco brand) is very comparable to huggies
Personally I hate huggies every time i used them they leaked and when i used there wipes my daughter got a rash that’s the only rash shes ever had in her life I really like pampers they are awesome diaper luvs are also very good and cheaper i usually buy pampers unless we are hurting for money i get luvs both good diaper and pampers wipes are great to kirkland brand wipes are really good to
btw i have a girl she is average size not to chubby but not thin either
Right now I use pampers. My son is 10 months old.
When he was born we used both huggies and pampers swaddlers (we used both because I got a bunch of both at my baby shower).
I liked them both a lot. The only problem that I had with huggies after a while is the smell. It just had a stronger pee odor that was never there with pampers.
I have not tried fisher price diapers (they are not available where I live) but I have read some really good reviews on them. I say buy a couple different brands and just see what you like better.
Huggies all the way! There wipes are by far the best too. My husband and I tried pampers wipes and they were terrible. Also the costco diapers and walmart brand diapers are terrible they leak alot. Honestly i would buy huggies diapers in bulk from costco thats the best bang for your buck i think. Also my son is average sized.
Pampers!!!! My sister always used huggies for my niece so I assumed I would do the same with my son since I thought huggies were the best. But after he was born I stuck with pampers becuase he would pee through his huggies. And six weeks later he still fits in newborn (he weighs close to 10 lbs now) and hasn’t peed through! But try different brands they will send some through the mail not to mension what ull get at ur baby shower
8 month old girl
-We love pampers baby dry
-Never had any leaks
-Smell like baby powder
We used pampers swaddlers when she was smaller, never had any issues and loved the softness.
We always had issues with Huggies running small and leaking. This was with regular and supremes.
For me,pampers are def. The best! We use pampers swaddlers and they are great. I have tried huggies, organic and non organic, and I trully hated them. Also, luvs are good too, cheap but really good.
For my daughter, pampers worked the best. For my son Huggies works the best.
Costco’s brand (Kirkland) is amazing as well, I’m pretty sure they are made my huggies.
My daughter used Pampers when she’s born and now she’s 17 months still using pampers. I’ve never try huggies or fisher price diaper on her before.
I always preferred huggies for my children it done a better job.
the answer varies by baby. use what works best for your baby’s needs.
We’re a Huggies household. We used the Pampers Swaddlers when my daughter was a newborn and they were okay but I didn’t like the bigger sizes in Pampers. Actually the Costco brand (Kirkland) of diapers and wipes is almost exactly like Huggies but much cheaper. We’ve used both off and on since my daughter was born and she’s just over a year old now. The only time they have ever leaked was at night and it usually signifies that it’s time to go to a larger size. I honestly didn’t know Fisher Price made diapers and I tried LUVS once but it felt like I was wrapping my baby in plastic. There was no “give” (no elastic) and rubbed my daughters legs raw. Never, ever again, will I subject my daughter to those LUVS diapers.
Pampers swaddlers are absolutely wonderful for newborns. There is a yellow strip on the bottom of the diaper that turns blue when it’s wet, so you won’t have to constantly hassle your baby by opening it up and checking. Because the swaddlers were so great and absorbent, I’ve continued to sometimes use Pampers. We use Pampers Baby Dry. One drawback is that they do tend to feel very damp on the outside whenever she is the least bit wet. I do not like Huggies – the straps weren’t sticky enough and kept coming undone, and they smelled musty when wet. They also fit awkwardly around my baby’s thighs. White Cloud diapers are HORRIBLE, the straps suck. Never tried Fisher Price. The only other brand besides Pampers I use are Luvs, which are very absorbent, fit very well, and are usually cheaper than Huggies and Pampers, just depending on which ones I have coupons for. A friend of mine uses Luvs for her little boy too. Altogether I think I like Luvs best, but Pampers is also good. I recommend getting Pampers swaddlers for newborn and then when your baby reaches size 1, get a few different brands to try out and see what works best. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!
Also, wipes are all the same. It’s stupid to get brand name wipes which are ten times more expensive than generic. I always get bulk of the store-brand wipes and they work every bit as well as the brand name wipes I’ve tried.
I don’t use any of them. I liked Huggies for newborns but switched to LUVS or Target brand once my children (boy and girl) fit size ones. The only reason I liked the Huggies newborn is because it had a strip that changed color when urine was present (believe me babies pee so little it’s nice because it’s not that noticeable unless they pee a lot over a number of hours) and they had a dip that left room for the umbilical cord.
Add: I highly recommend getting a few packages of a few different brands of diapers and trying them out. You may find your diaper brand better that way.
LUVS and Target brand are way cheaper than those other brands and (I have found) reduce leaks really, really well.
Pampers have won my heart over time and time again. I had a nightmare experience with fisher price diapers bought them because they were on sale and after 2 diapers my baby had the worst diaper rash and spent the next day in pain and tears so you can only imagine how her mom was doing. I also prefer the pampers to huggies I have never once had a leak and i love the feel and stretch of the diapers.
