Recieving Baby Crib And Few Other Items From A Stranger?
Someone i know knows someone that’s moving away and wants to give away their baby crib and few other items for free or for a small amount of cash and told me i should come pick it up since i’m expecting. I dunno this person at all…a complete stranger but willing to give away their stuff. Should i bring them a gift or something when i go to pick up the things? If so, what should i buy??

A nice thank you note is all that’s necessary.
Write them a note thanking them for their genorosity to someone they don’t even know, and in person, be polite and tell them yourself how grateful you are.
And one day when you’re able to, bless someone as they have blessed you.
I think since they’re moving and getting rid of stuff it’s kind of like they’re being forced to give things up. I think it sounds kind of funny to give them a gift card or even thank you note so i would so go with baking a cake, cookies, just something edible Lol Also you might be paying the person and even if it’s almost free it still has a price tag so that’s why i think making them something is the only thing that makes better sense.
I once made someone a thank you note after I picked up a bunch of toys. I left it for them on their door since it was late I had to get the items from her porch.
I think especially sicne she knows the person, you could do a nice gesture..
I think maybe a card with a small gift card would work. Even if its to walmart. That way since they are moving, they could use the money for the new place..
That is VERY nice of them to do, if I was you I would go get it and offer some cash, if they refuse then that’s okay, just take the stuff and thank them.
Even if you don’t want the stuff just take it anyways and when you get home look through it all and just donate what you don’t want. =)
When someone is giving it away for free it means its free. Just like getting it off craigslist. You don’t need to give them anything because they are giving it to you… Just as long as you return the favor of giving it to someone when your done
A gift card or a small amount of cash in an envelope with a note of thanks would be appropriate. It’s nothing you *have* to do, but it’s a kind gesture. Good luck!
oh my, that is extremely nice of them,i agree, bake them a cake or something like that, it shows your appreciation
=D
I would not buy a gift only because it sounds like they are trying to get rid of stuff, but maybe a giftcard for dinner would be nice.
That is awesome…Of course check all things out to make sure they are safe..
then make them something…Cake, cookies,salsa..Homemade is always a good choice.
yes i think you should buy them a gift something that they would love a good wine would be nice/ flowers or a gift basket will be good
A big thank-you will be in order. You could give them a thank-you card. The people just want to know that you appreciate the items.
get them a gift card for somewhere… if they are moving they wont want more stuff to pack up.
