Seventh Generation Diaper Users?
I just recieved a pack of 7th Gen size newborn diapers free in the mail direct from the company (because I asked for a sample). I opened them up and they seem like really good quality diapers, but I want to know how well they hold breastfed poo in. I had major issues with this with my first child, of course I was financially strapped and had to use the store brand most of the time. I like how these are unbleached and everything, but if they end up failing and I have lots of blowouts I won’t use them. Thanks for your answers!

I’ve never used them…but “poo-splosions” as we call them in my house…was usually a big red flag to move up a size.
i love them and find them as absorbent as huggies. though my baby hasn’t had many blowouts. but i highly recommend them.
They hold about as well as any disposable diaper.
The benefit you’ll most notice is the smell–no gross perfumes. You may also notice less diaper rash. My kids always had nasty rashes when I put them in disposables, but the unbleached diapers seemed a little better.
If you want to avoid blowouts, cloth is the way to go! Even the cloth/disposable hybrid G diapers should hold poo in far better because the elastic is higher quality. If disposable diapers had nice elastic, they would be way too expensive, kwim?
We’ve used nothing but ‘Seventh Generation’ and cloth. I really like them…
We have had poop leaks, but they were invariably hints that it was time to move up to the next size. We did move very quickly through the sizes, but generally, right size = no leaks.
I still use them at night and while out and about; they are much more leak-proof than ANY cloth diaper I’ve found…
They are the BEST! We’ve been using Seventh Generation diapers for almost 2 years now. Never any rashes and they’re reliable also.
http://www.amazon.com sells them for a little less than most stores. You could try their even cheaper subscription plan.
I’ve never heard of 7th Gen, but I used Luvs. they seemed to work better than huggies and pampers. No blow outs.
