Question About My Daughter And Milk Based Formula?

My daughter is now 8 months old, and up until Dec. 27th she was fed Parents Choice Immune Support formula (milk based, prebiotics added) She did great with this until Christmas Eve, when she started getting HORRIBLE diahrreah. We decided to take her off the formula for a day and just give her baby food, oatmeal and pedialyte, which ended the diahrreah. So she was switched to a soy formula which helped but also made her spit up every time she ate. So, we were told to put her on a lactose free milk based formula. She doesnt get diahrreah, but she gets horrible gas pains and severe constipation. I dont think shes allergic to milk protein because she doesnt get rashes or have any trouble breathing or anything, but I really think she cannot digest milk properly. Has anyone elses baby been through this and what did you have to do? Her doctor told us to decide for ourselves which formula is better for her, so im just seeking advice. Thanks!
Also… is it true that soy formula messes up baby’s reproductive system or anything like that?

She has tried Similac Advanced w/ Iron, Isomil lactose free and we are trying to get her stable on Good Start Formula Soy based but she still is throwing some of it up. She has had wet diapers but no dirty ones. We took her to the doctor today and he suggested keeping her fed every 2-3 hours on the same formula and if she continues to spit up call him. Experience this before?
Love.

x^3-y^3=(x-y)(x^2+xy+y^2)
x^3+y^3=(x+y)(x^2-xy+y^2)

my son is is months old. his belly isn’t very sensitive and we’ve been able to switch back and forth between brands of formula with no problems, but they have all been milk based.
my local kroger is re-doing there organic section and some products are 90% off. theres nothing wrong with the things, they just need the room and are discontinuing the sale of some items. i got my son some organic baby food for 34 cents/jar and saw that they have some 1.5 oz cans of earths best organic soy formula on sale. we get wic and he uses similac advance milk base. we get free formula and all but it is almost not enough for him as is and i know as the weeks go by he will need more and more to keep him satisfied. would it be ok to buy these cheap cans and feed them to him mixed w/ the similac or even alone in a bottle?
the cans are regularly 22.50 marked down to 8 something. this is cheaper then even parents choice, plus its organic which i suppose couldn’t be any worse than the non organic. the only thing i’m worried about is the soy vs milk. he has never had any soy products so far either. is it ok to keep on hand in case i run out or for whatever reason get kicked off wic or anything?

Ok so our wee girl has been having excessive bowel movements the past 2 months any where from 8-10 times perday. Before that she went anywhere from 4-6 times per day ever since she started solids before solids it was 3 times a day. Well the doctor has reccomended that we put her BACK on her formula due to the excessive increase in bowel movements she thinks it may be the milk….But how in the world is a milk based formula going to be any different? She used to be on a lactose free formula but outgrew the intolerance at around 6 months of age and hasnt had any issues with a milk based formula so im confused……………..
How is whole milk any different than a milk based formula? It isnt is it?

My son is six months old and has been on milk based lactose free formula since he was two and a half months. It worked for a little over two months but we have been seeing his spit up becoming more and more. We add rice cereal to thicken it up *doctors orders* but it is still projectile at times, also he is still quite gassy and arches his back occasionally during feedings? any advice would be helpful!

Assuming that price was no concern, what formula would your baby have gotten? My daughter is on Similac Sensitive right now, but I know Wal Mart’s Parent’s Choice formula comes in lactose free, and I think that Target has a lactose free, and I’ve heard that Enfamil does, but we can’t find it around here. Again, I’m not looking at soy formula, they make my daughter sick. I’m just looking for other people’s experiences with lactose free formula. Thanks!

i am feeding milk based but lactose free formula (because it says its for fussiness and gas) until i can bring in enough breast milk, can i feed both @ the same time until i can switch to just breast milk? I would ask her ped. but it’s the weekend
