There are thousands of so called free but none are. Please Help!! I want to build a crib for our fourth baby, I never had the time to do it for the other three or I was overseas when they were born. If you could help me with some plans I would greatly appreciate it.

Someone i know knows someone that’s moving away and wants to give away their baby crib and few other items for free or for a small amount of cash and told me i should come pick it up since i’m expecting. I dunno this person at all…a complete stranger but willing to give away their stuff. Should i bring them a gift or something when i go to pick up the things? If so, what should i buy??

I was given a free crib mattress that is covered in vinyl and I’m 6 months pregnant and want to set up my son’s stuff already. I just want to clean the mattress and make it germ free but I don’t know if I can use bleach?

Does ANYONE know where I can find, on the internet, FREE woodworking plans for a transitional baby crib…you know, the kind that you can convert from crib to toddler bed to double bed? Or would someone have the plans downloaded in html or plain text format that they could provide a link to me for free? My daughter is pregnant and her father is insisting on building her the crib instead of buying it for her, as a means of saving money…sigh. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Firstly, try the Freecycle and Craigslist (.org) in your area. On Freecycle you can post what you need and others post what they have. You contact people who may have what you need and set up a meeting. If they choose to give you the item, you simple pick it up for free. I’m not sure how Craigslist works, but I’m sure it’s much the same.
You can also try contacting the Salvation Army office nearest to you and churches in your area (even if you aren’t a member). They may be able to either help you or direct you to someone who can.
Good luck!

My husband and I are adopting a baby in two months. We are on a very tight budget and are looking for a nice, gently used baby crib. Does anyone have one? We will pay shipping charges. Or does anyone know of where I could find a cheap baby crib?
