Question About My Daughter And Milk Based Formula?

My daughter is now 8 months old, and up until Dec. 27th she was fed Parents Choice Immune Support formula (milk based, prebiotics added) She did great with this until Christmas Eve, when she started getting HORRIBLE diahrreah. We decided to take her off the formula for a day and just give her baby food, oatmeal and pedialyte, which ended the diahrreah. So she was switched to a soy formula which helped but also made her spit up every time she ate. So, we were told to put her on a lactose free milk based formula. She doesnt get diahrreah, but she gets horrible gas pains and severe constipation. I dont think shes allergic to milk protein because she doesnt get rashes or have any trouble breathing or anything, but I really think she cannot digest milk properly. Has anyone elses baby been through this and what did you have to do? Her doctor told us to decide for ourselves which formula is better for her, so im just seeking advice. Thanks!
Also… is it true that soy formula messes up baby’s reproductive system or anything like that?

I started her on enfamil and she would throw up like a projectile throw up and she would do this one day twice and then the next day once then some days none then i called doc and he switched me to simailiac lactose free for fussiness gas and spit up and she is still doing the same thing not as much but she is starting to act real fussy after she eats like she has gas we use the gas drops also…What could be the prob? At first I was doing both breast and bottle can that cause her to throw up switching like that? Would breast milk make her throw up like that? Could I just pump exclusively and feed it to her in the bottle and breast feed her when i could? I need help cause I am not too sure on what formul to use and how breast milk should make her react will she be fussy and throwing up a lot????

Am I Being Hard On My Pregnant Teen Daughter?

My daughter is 15 and pregnant shes in 10th grade, shes not even old enough to have sex till 16 which is the legal age to have sex.Even at 16 she should use protection cause you should be married to have children.since she’s going to be a teen mom SHE needs to get a job and pay me rent, she needs to finish high school, she needs to pay me money to buy diapers and baby stuff, and if SHE wants to hang out with friends on like the weekend or so SHE needs to pay me to babysit I’m not gonna watch her baby for free.I just feel like since she didn’t use protection even if shes too young to have sex shes old enough to know to use protection so she she learn from this mistake she created.

With my older daughter, I always used Gerber, b/c that is what my own mother used. But this time around, a friend who had a baby earlier this year had a bunch of boxes of Beechnut leftover, still all in the original wrappers. What does everyone think about Beechnut vs Gerber? Should I use the free stuff or stick with Gerber? Any thoughts?

She has tried Similac Advanced w/ Iron, Isomil lactose free and we are trying to get her stable on Good Start Formula Soy based but she still is throwing some of it up. She has had wet diapers but no dirty ones. We took her to the doctor today and he suggested keeping her fed every 2-3 hours on the same formula and if she continues to spit up call him. Experience this before?
Love.

My Daughter Has Just Weaned To Formula, ?

(she’s 3mths old)and is experiencing a lot of fussiness and gas.I thought perhaps it was the lactose in the first one (low iron enfamil)so so I switched to a lactose free formula with a higher iron content. She’s a bit better but still really gassy and fussy. Now I don’t know what it is. Any ideas? I’m so confused. Is it the iron or the lactose. I don’t want to keep switching . Help! Les

My daughter has been on Similac Advance Soy formula and I had a coupon for a free Nestle Soy and I have heard good things about this brand so I tried it. Since starting the Nestle formula she has been spitting up a lot and acting like it’s bothering her stomach. Anyone else have this problem? I thought Nestle was supposed to be gentler on the stomach. Should I go back to the Similac or give it a couple days?

My daughter is 11 1/2 months old and her doctor told me that if I ran out of formula within 3 wks of her turning 1 to go ahead and give her milk well the past three days I have gave her milk and at night she would wake up and just scream, so yesterday I got some formula from a friend and gave my daughter only formula and she slept just fine. (She was on milk-based formula and did ok but when we switched her to lactose free formula she did much better but she never had a lot of issues) So should I giver her lacto free milk or try with milk again or should I just stick formula until her 12 month appt. (Please no ask your doctor answers I plan on bringing it up with her doctor on her next appt.) Thanks in advanced.

How Do I Get My 7 Month-old Daughter To Eat Solids?

I first introduced solids to my baby girl when she was 5 1/2 months. She happily took it and I thought she must have liked any kind of food. But when we changed her formula (from S26 to Promil Gold), she had indigestion and would sometimes throw up. So we changed again to a lacto-free formula. Now, she doesn’t want to eat ANY kind of food, be it jarred or home made. How can I get her to eat solids? I am afraid she is not getting enough nutrition from milk alone. By the way, she is teething so can this be one of the reasons why? Will this stage pass? Or is she one of those babies with very low appetite? Thanks for all the questions!
