sale the formula that she gets from wic and sale the free diapers that she gets from low income help facility? She lives with her boyfriend who makes $1000 a week, but she tells them he is never around and she gets food-stamps, wic, free diapers, and other free baby stuff. She sales it all on ebay or to her friends and makes over $600 a month on all of it. She drives a new toyota 4runner and her boyfriend of 5 yrs. takes good care of her and she never wants for anything. I really thought I raised her better and it is upsetting me very much. I have talked to her about it, but she says she needs the money for extras like clothes and shoes for her and gas. I feel like it is immoral but I am afraid if I tell them she will go to jail or something, and she is breastfeeding so I don’t want her to be separated from my grandson. What should I do? Please serious help only please.

I’ve tried EVERYTHING to help her with her gas, and nothing is working. And its beginning to really bother me. The doctor never seems really worried… But she’s passing gas CONSTANTLY and LARGE amounts at a time. It very uncomfortable for her… and we’ve tried everything at this point.
Mylicon, playtex dropins, gripe drops (get rid of hiccups) bicycle legs, elevation after feeding and constant burping her. And she’s also on Enfamil Gentlease…. But nothings really helping. Should we switch formula again??? I am going to talk to her doctor about it, and the fact that I am positive she’s having reflux problems (can that have anything to do with gas)? I don’t know I just hate her being uncomfortable. Sometimes she passes gas easily…. but other times she strains and strains, and I just want to help her so bad. Any advice??? She’s 8 weeks.

The cost of the turtle will cost you the least. A RES can be bought for $5-10, but they grow to be 8-12″ and require a huge 100G tank or better a pond. A good filter will be needed and that will cost around $100. Electricity for the basking light runs about $5 a month, depending on hydro fees. They live over 20 years…
You can get away with keeping a hatchling RES in a 5-10G tank, but that will last you a year before it outgrows the tank. A turtle in a tank which is too small for it will dirty the water faster, and you’ll be constantly doing water changes.
Anyway, my point is if money is an issue, a RES or a turtle is not a good pet to get. As for salmonella, I have a son as well and I keep over 20 turtles and tortoises. Turtles are pets to be watched, not handled, but if they are handled, wash your hands. Treat turtles and other reptiles like a piece of chicken and you’ll be OK.
If you do want a free RES, you can look up your local reptile rescue, but they too will often charge an adoption fee ($20 or so) for vet and admin costs. However, most of these are not cute babies.

She is 5 months old and was put on it because of acid reflux. Her symptoms are under control with prilosec. When is an appropiate time to try lactose free formula again>? Thanks!

You don’t need BPA free bottles. Just don’t use boiling water. Wash by hand. BPA is normally released at temps above 170 F, which you can get in a microwave, but not with hot tap water.
ALL plastics release chemicals when heated, whether they have BPA or not, including your frozen dinners in plastic trays.
Otherwise, check the baby stores for glass baby bottles.
