Baby Formula For 2-3 Year Old Toddler?

Ok I would like to know if I can give my older almost 3 year old kid ocassionally cup of baby formula? I get free baby formula for my 6 month old baby and since my toddler is a very picky eater I was wondering if I can give her a cup of baby formula now and then too… I figured it has a good nutritional value and whole bunch of minerals and vitamins like breastmilk so it should not be bad right? Plus my toddler loves the taste for some reason. PS: I cannot afford to buy Pediasure.

Baby Formula Question?

Ok this might be a book but your help is appreciated.
My daughter is 9 weeks old. She started off on enfamil regular with lipil(milk based, their closest formula to breast milk). This formula was causing her to projectile vomit. They did an upper gi and ultrasound to make sure everything inside was working well and it is so the vomiting was attributed to the formula possibly because of a milk allergy. The doctor then put her on enfamil prosobee soy based formula which constipated her really bad and made her stool very large and hard. We tried dark karo syrup, prune juice and neither would soften up her stool(a couple times it made her butt bleed). The doctor then put her on enfamil gentlease, a formula that has the milk lactose partially broken down for easier digestion(not fully broken down though so thus not lactose free). This formula proceeded to make her projectile vomit also. I just called the doctor and told her this and she told me to put her back on the prosobee soy based formula that constipates her.
My issue with this is that
A) no matter what we try to do to soften her stool when she is on the soy, it is still hard and I am afraid it will cause more trauma to her rectum.
B) We heard the doctor tell another patient in the next room over that there are an increasing number of babies on soy formula and soy is not good for babies.
C) It seems to me that she has a allergy to lactose and that if we gave her another enfamil product called lactofree which is milk based but lactose free, it would solve our constipation(no soy) and vomiting(no lactose) problems.
What should I do? Put her on the lactofree on my own?

Can I Change My Baby’s Formula?

I received a free sample of formula in the mail. Its two big containers of it and its the same brand I use just a different type. Would it be alright for me to use it so it does not go to waste or is it not a good idea to switch it like that?

I decided to delete my question “Why do *some* formula feeders deny that breast is best” because I was afraid it might come across as offensive to some formula feeders. There were several good answers though that deserved 10 pts, sorry though.
why do some breastfeeders spend so much time making formula feeders feel guilty about their choice? I don’t for the life of me understand someone who is perfectly capable of breastfeeding choosing not to do it at all, but that is their choice (and there are legitimate reasons why some people can’t or won’t breastfeed). I’m sure they have a reason but its not my business. As long as the child is fed and taken care of, right?
Why waste your energy lecturing people who have made a choice already and aren’t going to change it? If you care so much about babies being breastfed, why not direct that energy towards pregnant women by telling them the benefits of breastfeeding and giving them advice and helping them? I’m still breastfeeding my daughter at 16 months and I have several friends who are pregnant with their first child who have been surrounded by all kinds of advertising for formula, free samples, all of that. And I talked to each of them about breastfeeding and the benefits and how if they don’t like it or have problems they can always switch to formula and I’m proud to say that three of my friends who were probably going to formula feed are now enthused and excited to start breastfeeding. And I told them if they ever need help to call me. Isn’t that more productive than harassing people on the internet?
Basically my point is: I think all babies deserve the chance to be breastfed but there is absolutely NOTHING to be gained from harassing formula feeding mothers. It will just stress them out and make things more difficult. If you believe in breastfeeding and want to help, why not give advice to pregnant women and help support new moms who are breastfeeding? And yes, I know a lot of you breastfeeders to this all ready. I’m talking about the boobie nazis.

Why Does Cbs Have To Ruin Formula One?

How do you think Formula One will ever become popular in the US if CBS tape delays the Monaco GP and airs it during the Indy 500? That is the most moronic thing I have ever heard. SpeedTV is more than whilling to air the race live, but CBS just has to outbid for the rights of a hand full of races and then tape delays them. There ought to be a law that says that if any network is whilling to air an event live, then their rights supercede those of another network which is tape delaying. What really irks me is that I was hoping to watch both races. Someone should get fired for this.
Sorry, this is more of a rant than a question. But none the less, feel free to agree or disagree.

Is Switching Formula Ok?

My son is just about to head off to day care and they offer Carnation Good Start formula for free, but we feed him Emfamil at home. Will it be okay for him to go back and forth,(Emfamil at home and Carnation at day care) or should we send Emfamil with him to day care? Have no clue please help me out.

Please feel free to include the melting point, and boiling point all in Celsius please. Thanks

Does Your Daycare Provide Formula And Baby Food

Our baby has just started daycare, and they provide formula, baby food, bibs, and blankets. They get a certain amount of formula from the government based on income of enrolled families (kind of like free and reduced lunch), so they provide it for all the babies. Is this pretty standard for most daycares? I realize that some of their expenses are built into the weekly cost (washing the bibs and stuff), but I was curious if this was normal or if we lucked out. Thanks!
