My 14 month old son has been throwing up at least once a day and i suspect he has some sort of lactose intolerance.AS a baby he was treated for acid reflux and put on lactose free formula which he did fine.At 12 months I put him on reg milk and for the first month he did fine. Now im beginning to notice that when i give him yogurt he gets an awful rash and runny poops. The vomitting has been going on for the past month. It was once every few days and now its almost once every day.HE drinks probably 4 to 5 bottles a day and most of it, he keeps down.I would think if he was lactose intollerant he would throw it all up.Should i switch him to Lactaid milk or soy milk?I would love to hear from someone who has experienced this with their child.thank you

back when my son was 8 weeks he was put on a lactose free diet and at 12 months he was taken off of it and was doing great but know at 18 months i was told by his doctor to put him back on it.
when he was a baby it was no problem getting him to eat because i would just by baby food with out milk , but know that he is eating are food i can’t seem to find him anything that he can eat with out milk in it.
when they are on a lactose free diet is all dairy products suppose to be removed from the diet included ones put into foods or just the main ones like milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream?
and what do i do when we are eating something with milk in it, like mac and cheese ?
the reason being for the diet is because of his consent lose and runny diapers and the rashes and the gerd as a baby.

My 18 month old daughter has diarrhea after I mix her formula with even 2 oz. of cow’s milk. The doctor told me to keep her on formula and keep trying to give her milk with the formula, but even if I give her 2 oz. of skim milk she still has diarrhea. She still takes it from a bottle, so I’m tring to get her off the bottle and the formula. Any help would be great.

The inability to digest lactose, our simple sugar is seen frequently in our clinics. Sometimes our infants who do not breastfeed and need formula have certain symptoms that require a switch to lactose free formula. Also, adults sometimes have symptoms due to an intolerance to lactose.
Why does this happen? What symptoms do these people present? What advice would you tell them as far as food choice?

I have a six month old baby boy who is on lactose free formulas from one month old due to his gasy and colicy stomach. He also showed some signs of silent reflux from two months ago which is under control with Zantac. Although his colic and gas is much better but he seemes alot happier with lactose free formula for his reflux. It is alittle heavier and he will not vomit it easily. But i am worried that maybe I am overusing it. i know he is getting all the nutritions with lactose free formula but i need some information about using it for a long time.
