these are just random things i’ve always been curious about.
1. what do you usually dress your toddler in and why? (sweats, wind suits, dresses, jeans ect.)
2. How long did you use onesis for?
3. How long did you use bibs and put your child in the high chair for meals?
4. How much stuff do you take along to the grocery store and why? (diaper bag, purse, cup ect) and what do you take inside and what stays in the car?
I am particularly interested in number 4. I finally have a working car so my 17 month old son and I will be doing the majority of errands and shopping alone together. Before now, my fiance would take the bags inside (diaper bag and purse) and I would carry our son since we went to do all these things together on saturdays since he had the only working car. Well i have no problem carrying both, but i just wondered if I wouldn’t be better off putting a diaper and a travel pack of wipes in my purse (its on the large side) and taking maybe his cup in with us? But then I think well what if he pees through his clothes or something and needs totally changed? I can’t leave him inside while i run out, and i can’t very well take my wet and unhappy toddler out in the cold and wind and abandon our full cart inside. s oi figure i may as well take it all in. but i’m just curious to see what other mothers think and what they do?
please answer all of my questions above, but particulary give any advice on what you do with your toddlers things and how you make grocery shopping and running errands with a little one as stress free and comfy as possible.
thank you!

I have breastfeed my 1 month old since she was born, but it’s really hard, painfull, & not enjoyable! Is there something I can do to stop it from hurting so much? She seems to have a good latch, so I don’t know what it could be..I really want to continue breastfeeding because it’s better for my baby (and free) than formula.
Do you have any ideas for me?

For Moms Who Use Free Cycle.?

Have you ever seen something that you could really use for your baby. Your reply and the person never emails you back. Does this really bug you? I email everyone back even if the item is pending pick up.
Example. Someone posted for size 2 diapers. Which is what size my son is and we could really use them. Never got an answer back.

Hi All You Moms Hope You Can Answer This?

does anyone know ant sites or places were i can get Absolutely free stuff for my baby

I’m a FF mom myself. I’m curious about what made you decide on the type of formula for your babies? Was it: Cost, food allergens, brand name, Pediatrician recommendations? Also what made you decide to use the type of bottles that you do. Again was it cost, brand name, pediatrician, shape, size, for colic?
My oldest son was on a lactose free formula, and we used Dr. Brown’s Bottles. This is the type of formula and bottle I will be using with my twins.
Let me hear from the FF moms out there. Please no rude answers. Thanks.

Is Anything For Us New Moms Really Free?!?

I, like many, am a new mom with VERY limited income. I have 3 other children and am, right now, unfortunately, living on child support only. Luckily the father of my newborn is here to help with living expenses. I have been trying to locate baby “stuff” and new mom “stuff” that is really free, that is, no charge, no shipping. Maybe shame on me for having my “hand out” but who can really blame me? Any fellow new moms know something I don’t? Please no mean answers like, “get a job…” etc. Extenuating circumstances are in place right now. Thanks for your information.

My number one tip is www.craigslist.org, there I find free stuff, cheap baby clothes, swap coupons, find garage sales, ect.
Then my secret is I shop at 2nd hand stores, I love them actually, It’s my guilty pleasure when someone compliments my clothes and I tell them I bought it at Savers.
Any other tips/secrets?!

I was just wondering if it was hard to find a formula that your babies could tolerate? I’m looking at an organic, lactose-free, milk based formula. But I’m also looking at Nutramigen, and Alimentum for their potential, because me and my husband are allergic to different parts of milk. Im allergic to the protein, he’s allergic to the lactose.
So my question is: Was it hard to find a formula that your babies could tolerate? Please no rude answers. Thanks.

I just was able to get 4 one size Bum Genius reusable diapers and 6 inserts for free! My question is for the moms that successfully used similar diapers, how many should I get? I know 4 is not enough. And also has anyone used Bum Genius diapers, and if so how are they? Last question is do you have any tips on using cloth diapers? I have a 4yo that I used disposable diapers on but I do not want to go that route again with this baby.
–Thanks.

I am NOT trying to spark a debate about breastfeeding v. formula feeding. However, I came across this article while cruising the kellymom site and thought it was interesting.
While medical staff will readily agree that “breast is best,” do you think that giving cans of free formula to moms who want to exclusively BF can potentially sabotage their efforts? Do you think that it appears to be a hospital’s endorsement, although it is the formula company that is actually providing it?
I have no problem with moms who formula feed–I am aware that breastfeeding is sometimes not a viable option. But, I also know that I had a very rough start with breastfeeding, and many nights during the first two weeks I was VERY tempted to open those sample cans. Eventually I donated them to a food bank to rid myself of the temptation, and I’m glad I did.
Here’s the link to the article. It gives both sides of the debate. http://www.kellymom.com/nutrition/milk/f…
What is your opinion on hospitals giving free formula samples?
