He is very aware of when he has to go potty when he is not wearing anything below the waist, but the second you put underwear or a diaper on him, he feels free to not use the potty. If he messes his diaper or underwear, he will just take them off himself because he does not like that uncomfortable feeling. How can I get him to go while wearing a diaper or underwear? Right now, I just want to get daytime mastered and then we’ll work on night time. Thanks!!

I may have sensitive skin, I can’t stay out in the sun longer than 3-5 minutes otherwise I’ll get hives. My skin cannot tolerate sunblock lotions, not even sunblock for babies, Paba free and all that stuff. They say it’s safe to use but when i apply it or have little on, I start to swell up, have a fever, and I end up with hives. I tried using avacado oil since I read something in “Passport to Beauty” that avacado oil will block UV rays and what not. I tried it and it made my skin itch. I’m at the point where I have to wear long sleeves when I go outside. Can anyone relate/ can anyone suggest something???

I can’t spend the whole day at the beach. It’s too boring. I used to do it. I also am beginning to get the signs of growing up on Lake Michigan and spending every waking minute at the beach since being a baby. I’m getting those age spots on my chest and shoulders. I know, I need to be careful especially being a fair skinned blond but I look SO MUCH better with a tan! Anyways, if I go to the beach from like 11 A.M. till 1 A.M atleast 5 days a week, will I get a good tan? I tan fairly easily inspite of being fair. I’m using SPF 4 because it’s like they don’t make SPF free stuff anymore!

i have been informed that with my low paying job, i will be eligible for a free breast pump that is of a high quality through social services (either that or free formula – and i had much rather do breast milk than formula).
so i am kind of afraid of sore nipples and even more afraid that the baby will not take to the nipple at all, so i thought i’d do strictly bottles using only breast milk.
is this a good idea?

http://www.ewg.org/reports/bpaformula
read up! these companies should really be putting formula in BPA free packaging but consumers have to demand it.
for now if you have to use formula get the powdered form.

I was wondering if there are any other moms out that have used this formula? I just wanted to share with you something I recently heard about the product.
A friend of mine has twins that was strictly on breast milk and fed using a thing called a “Podee” or Dr. Brown’s Bottles. She tried everything to increase her milk production, but nothing worked. Knowing that there is a STRONG family history of milk allergens, she found “Baby’s Only Lactose-Free” infant formula. Soy formula wasn’t considered. The twins are thriving and doing really.
Those of you who have used this formula. What was your experience? Did you find a similar less expensive product?
Ladies, please share your experiences with this product. Thanks.
