My 16 month old for the past few days has had a rash on her vaginal area. It is a red rash with some little bumps on her labia majora or the outer lips. She has had diaper rash once or twice before but it was always on her butt. It looks like diaper rash though… can they get diaper rash in that area? Could it be something else that I should be aware of?
It doesn’t seem to really bother her… though she has been touching that area a bit but she always does when she doesn’t have a diaper on. I’ve put desitin on it before i put a diaper on, but mostly have left her diaper free.
What else could this be? I just think its odd because she never got diaper rash there before.

I already know I have a diaper rash from a cheap. Brand of pad I was using during my cycle, now that its clearing up
Should I keep my area hair-free? I noticed that the hairs were also a cause of irritant.
I’m also using desitin

He has been rash free until recently- he is now 13 months old and for some reason he has a rash. I change him regularly, I put desitin on him yesterday(when I saw he was just a lil pink) and today it’s so raw…it’s worse than before! Has your baby had a rxn to desitin? Any advice on if a particular bath time soak helps? And to those that will say….”Ask your DR!!!”—-I plan on it, tomorrow morning when they open. So there! =)

I gave my son juice without realizing it had banana’s in it, which he is allergic to. Not a severe allergy but he does get diarrhea and diaper rash from it. Anyways, he has VERY bad diaper rash. I have been using baby powder on it but wanted to see if anyone has any other ideas. Its breaking my heart to see him like this.
1. I hate using creams. Every time he wets himself and I change his diaper its really painful for him when I have to wipe off the cream &/or diarrhea.
2. I tried letting him go diaper-free. It lasted about 3 minuets before he peed on the carpet twice.

My 10mo son has had a diaper rash for two months now. Certain medications prescribed by his pediatrician helped, but then it came right back. He just had a doctors visit today & she prescribed Nystatin again, which didn’t work last time. Please give me your advice.
What we’ve done:
-Triple Paste or A&D (we were using these when he first got the rash)
-Nystatin
-Nystatin w/ some kind of steriod
-Fusion (script that has zinc oxide, miconazole nitrate & petrolatum)
-Switched diaper brand from Pampers to Huggies
-Switched baby soap from J&J to Baby Majic (hypoallergenic & dye free)
-Wiped with just water & paper towel for a while (no results, went back to sensitive wipes)
-Strep test came back negative
-Started adding just a splash of juice to his water rather than the 50/50 mixture
-He goes diaper free at least 15 minutes a day
-Using Caldesene (powder with zinc oxide in it)
We change his diaper every 1-2 hours and always let him air dry before putting a new diaper on.

My 10 month old has had a diaper rash for about 1 month. My doctor said to use Aquaphador and it went away but came back.
I have used:
Butt Past
A&D
Desitin
Little Remedy Rash Spray
Aquaphador.
I wash her and I also change her consently.
We use Seventh Generation Diapers (The only Chlorine Free disposable diaper besides Tushies)
And just changed to Goat Milk wipes which is helping some.
PLEASE ANYTHING I CAN DO?

I’ve Been talking my son to the ER and urgent care non stop since sunday because he has a Second UTI he also suffers from kidney reflux so its more worrisome.SO because of the UTI he was prescribe SUPRAX and i realized after i gave him his first dose at home he broke out in hives. When i took him to urgent care they took him off Suprax and gave me some benadryl to give him every six hours as needed (he also received another antibiotics). But im noticing that its getting worse and he is so fussy and crying Alto, and on top of that because of the antibiotics he has an uncontrollable diarrhea which has giving him a really bad diaper rash witch i have tried every thing by packing Alto of balmex, A & D ointment I have even tried to keep him diaper free(its working a little bit, witch i had to but cloth diapers so he can sleep with out the mess)PLEASE HELP ME… NOW MY TWO QUESTIONS ARE:
1) WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THE HIVES GO AWAY/STOP ITCHING?
2)HOW CAN I STOP THE DIARRHEA OR TREAT THE REALLY BAD DIAPER RASH?

My daughter has never had a diaper rash before . 3 weeks ago we went to babies r us and used their mother s room and their baby wipes and diaper that they had there . we were just stopping for a quick buy and she went poopie . after getting home 30 mn after i changed her and at night i realise she had “pimples like” all around her feminine area, next day it became a bit wrinkly. it doesnt look anything like diaper rash pictures on the web .( also she is black so i wouldnt know the difference , most kids on the web are white so it red ) hers are not red , they re just like little bumps ,pimples kind .. it is been 3 weeks now that i goes and comes back and her diapers arent never on her more than 2 at most 3 hours . they re never really wet . maybe 2 or 3 pees . about 2 months ago i switched her from huggies to pampers in order to support the one pack-one vaccine campaign.. we used it for at least 3 weeks prior to these symptoms . what could it be ? diaper rash or allergie.
PS:we have been using desitin for those three weeks now but it is still there . if it is diaper rash , which cream should i use . and also i try to rinse her area with warm water before another diaper and leave her diaper free for at least 15 mn every now an then throughout the day . what should i do ?

My son stayed with my husbands mom for a weekend and had NEVER had a diaper rash! When he came home he had a very bad one! It isnt getting any better and i think its starting to hurt him (his two top teeth are coming in so i cant tell which it is!) My mom thinks it could be a bacterial infection. See we used these chlorine free diapers and since the chlorine is used to kill the bacteria… Help please!! We cant get in to see the doctor till next wednesday and we cant afford the er! He is 5 months btw! thanks

My son got into the Desitin…smearing it all over my carpet, then stomping it, and making little footprints all down the stairs. It’s also on my mirrors & windex doesn’t seem to do anything but smear it.
The good news is, his hands and face will be rash free for months! LOL
