We have tried Lacto free and soy with same results because I stop trying when he gets sick. Is it normal for baby to be sick for a few days when you make the transition? He is 5 months old and doctor says he is healthy to switch.

My 11 week old son is going to daycare soon. His daycare provides Enfamil Lipil with Iron for free. We feed him the generic Target brand at home. The nutritional value of Enfamil and the Target brand are exactly the same. Is it ok for him to drink Enfamil at daycare and the generic at home?

My 3 month old son has had a nasty diaper rash pretty much since he was born. We change him frequently, use dye free, fragrance free mild soap, and have switched from wipes to bactine and baby powder. All of these changes have noticeably helped, but he’s still pretty miserable. I’ve been entertaining the thought of switching him to cloth diapers, but need some advice.
We currently only spend about 25 a month on diapers. We are on an extremely fixed income, and the prices I’ve seen for some single cloth diapers on the internet is comparable to what we pay for around 60 disposables. That seems a bit daunting to me, so before I even bring the idea up to my husband, I’d like to know what brand we’d be getting, how many we’d need and about how much it’s going to cost.
So my question is what brands do any cloth diapering moms out there recommend, and about how many do we need? All I know so far is that I want the ones with Velcro, and preferably the kind with the insert, though it’s not necessary.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

My son is 10 months old right now, He has allergies to regular formula but does great on lactose free formula. Me and my hubby have been talking about switching him to regular milk since he eats solids now and doesn’t care for his bottle to much anymore. But since he is on the lactose free formula Im not sure what milk he should be drinking and if regular cows milk or 2 % will bring his allergies back. I also wanna know the best way to switch him off, should I just start the regular milk or should I mix it with formula ???

She just started eating formula about a month ago and we are still using all of the formula we received as free gifts. She has been eating Enfamil Lipil but now all i have is Similac Advance. Is it ok to just switch brands like that?

My baby was on similac lactose free powder formula,(no sign that she needed lactose free) so we recently switched to a regular iron powder formula. Is this okay? she spit up a little more than usual, because of formula, or just needs to get used to it???

I’ve tried EVERYTHING to help her with her gas, and nothing is working. And its beginning to really bother me. The doctor never seems really worried… But she’s passing gas CONSTANTLY and LARGE amounts at a time. It very uncomfortable for her… and we’ve tried everything at this point.
Mylicon, playtex dropins, gripe drops (get rid of hiccups) bicycle legs, elevation after feeding and constant burping her. And she’s also on Enfamil Gentlease…. But nothings really helping. Should we switch formula again??? I am going to talk to her doctor about it, and the fact that I am positive she’s having reflux problems (can that have anything to do with gas)? I don’t know I just hate her being uncomfortable. Sometimes she passes gas easily…. but other times she strains and strains, and I just want to help her so bad. Any advice??? She’s 8 weeks.

My son had problems digesting normal baby formula, so we had to put him on the Sensitive lactose free formula. He would get very gassy with the normal formula. My questions is, and I know this would be better for his pediatrician, should I try switching him to normal formula to see how he tolerates it? He is almost 8 months now, and has been exclusively formula fed since he was 2 months. I appreciate any positive and serious answers!

She is 5 months old and was put on it because of acid reflux. Her symptoms are under control with prilosec. When is an appropiate time to try lactose free formula again>? Thanks!
