Here on the West Coast, and from what I hear throughout rest of the US as well, hospitals and doctors offices and really encouraging breastfeeding, as they should. However, they continue to give out swag from the formula companies, including formula itself. I have also medical staff using swag from the formula companies.
Shouldn’t this be considered 1) conflict of interest 2) unethical 3) counterproductive?
Doesn’t the provision of free formula contravene the principles of lactation and breastfeeding and getting this country back to being a breastfeeding country?

In the town I live in, there is a HOPE pregnancy center. There you can take parenting classes and you get “mommy money” and if the father takes them as well, they get “daddy dough” to go shopping in the baby shop when you complete homework and complete the classes. There you can get baby clothes and items with the “mommy money” and “daddy dough”.
Good luck with your pregnancy!

I am just wondering, if you could try cloth diapers for free, would you? I run a free cloth diaper lending service called Teeny Greenies (www.teenygreenies.org) and I was just wondering, for those who haven’t tried cloth yet, would you be interested in trying them if you could borrow them for free? Why or why not?

My son and daughter-in-law spend an ungodly amount of money keeping their two set of twins in diapers. Does anyone know of an agency or group that helps out struggling families with multiples?
