What Do You Feed Your Baby At Each Meal In A Normal Day? My Daugher Is Almost 11 Months Old…?
and I am running out of foods to think of lol. I know she can pretty much eat anything we do but we don’t have set meal times at home or really even eat healthy so I’d like to at least have one for her. She prefers food she can eat herself, of course. I give her mini raviolis and other pasta with a fork which she loves, wheat bread with sugar free jam/jelly cut into little squares, stuff like that. I see very different opinions on scrambled eggs…can anyone clear that up for me?
If possible, can you name like 2 or 3 different things you feed your baby for each meal? Thanks in advance!

breakfast/brunch/lunch:
If you do introduce whole eggs, there are lots of eggy foods like quiche or strata that make a good whole meal (since they have meats and veggies in them) and that you can do a lot of variatoins on.
waffles
fruit pancakes
toast soldiers, sometimes spread with cream cheese
unflavored adult quick oatmeal (the quick oatmeal is less chunky when you make it)
scrambled eggs, or add cheese and veggies to make an “omelet”
eggs florentine (friend egg and spinach on an english muffin)
french toast
muffin pieces
cheerios and fruit (this is the thing she usually gets, but things like waffles or pancakes freeze well and reheat in the toaster, so those are pretty common too…fancier stuff only on weekends. A lot of these foods make good quick lunches too)
lunch:
grilled cheese sandwiches
cream cheese and mashed fruit as a sandwich filling
hummus on pita bread
guacamole on pita bread
cottage cheese
yogurt with fruit chunks
tuna/ham/egg salad sandwiches
tomato slices
leftovers!!
snacks:
fruit
whole wheat fig newtons
animal crackers
fruit cereal bars
graham crackers
low-salt soda crackers
string cheese
carrot sticks
dinner:
mashed sweet potatoes
homemade mac and cheese, or just plain pasta (they can self-feed this too pretty well)
tofu cubes
frozen mixed veggies from a bag, cooked
meatloaf/meatballs
veggie burgers
sloppy joes (hamburger in a tomatoy sauce that you can buy if you don’t want to make)
pumpkin ravioli
cheese grits
chicken a la king (you can buy or make this) over rice or noodles
chicken fingers (dip in water, then bread crumbs, and bake)
sweet potato fries
spanish rice with cooked chicken added
mild chili
veggie nuggets (bought frozen from the organic freezer section)
fish sticks
salmon patties
eggplant parm (which she actually loves)
sticky rice
baked chicken
cooked chopped spinach
cornbread
pasta salad
(We do table foods for dinners since we do have a family meal then, so whatever we are eating that is baby friendly)
On scrambled eggs – egg _yolks_ are fine for babies. The common allergn part is the _white_, which is recommended after 1 year. To be honest, I have recently introduced whole eggs to my dd who is about the same age as yours….she is either going to be allergic to them or not, and I can’t see that 1 month will make the difference. Also she has had egg whites in baked goods already. If you don’t feel comfortable introducing whites, you can just scramble up some yolks for her (and make a healthier mostly-white omelet for yourself!); if you do, just keep a close eye out for reactions. Oh, and the egg info is from our dr and also http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com, so you don’t have to take my word for it
its good to give her a variety of foods, different fruits and veggies you should try her on, also cereals, are finger foods cut up apples banannas, etc are healthy as well as crackers, eggs are great have lots of protien and omega 3 fatty acids for brain development as long as they are cooked well done ( they appear more dry ) baby will be fine. lots of milk and if you are worried about nutrition issues add some pediasure for extra vitamens.
