My son got into the Desitin…smearing it all over my carpet, then stomping it, and making little footprints all down the stairs. It’s also on my mirrors & windex doesn’t seem to do anything but smear it.
The good news is, his hands and face will be rash free for months! LOL

Sugar Paste will probably work the best for you and will not harm him if he were to roll around in it or try tasting it, in addition you won’t have to scrub your carpet.
Try Sugar Paste: Sugar Paste, made of sugar and water, and allowed to sit for one hour, you do not need to scrub, but can if you’d prefer. After setting blot clean with a damp cloth, this will remove anything!!
As far as the mirrors are concerned Mix one drop of Cascade in a small spray bottle filled with water, shake to mix well. Spray the mirrors well and wipe with a Coffee Filter. After wards you can clean to shine with Vinegar or Windex.
Use the Coffee Filters because they are 100% virgin paper and will not leave behind any lint.

First you have to break down the oil component. Whatever you have on hand will work, cornstarch, salt, baby powder, dawn dishwashing soap or baking soda. Scrape off as much of the hard creamy stuff as you can from the carpet. Dry method, involves sprinkling the salt or whatever over the remaining stain and allowing it to absorb the grease. Dawn, the wet method, mixed with water, agitated into the stain and neutralized with vinegar will also break it down. Afterward, treat the area with any carpet cleaner, Foleys, Capture, Resolve, etc. that doesn’t leave a residue itself (so you won’t get a mystery stain later) to fully remove the cream. As for the windows, try using straight ammonia because it will cut through the grease. Do not put it directly on the mirror, however, put it on a rag first so that it doesn’t run down behind the mirror and take off the silvering behind. Once you remove all of the grease, hit it with the Windex again for a clean shine.
