Take him to a distant section of your yard, away from the house. Set him free. If he survives, fine. If not, you tried.

In your freezer, then in couple of days, you drop him in the garbage can. This works good for cockroaches too. You won't have killed them, the freezer did it!

A baby has parents. You probably have more mice in your home.
Give the mouse a little water if it's been 10 hours or more since you caught it. A mouse released less than 50 miles from where it was caught usually returns--mice have great directional ability, and like to return to their habitat. Good luck!

I used to catch and release mice, too. I took them away from my house to a large empty field. It had a good habitat, with grasses, and some water. I'd leave him some food, too. He may not be adept at surviving yet. Be sure he has cover so somebody else doesn't eat him, like birds or cats.
