You probably have more mice in your home. Give the mouse a little water if it's been 10 hours or more since you caught it. A mouse released less than 50 miles from where it was caught usually returns--mice have great directional ability, and like to return to their habitat. Good luck! A baby has parents. I took them away from my house to a large empty field. It had a good habitat, with grasses, and some water. I'd leave him some food, too. He may not be adept at surviving yet.
